This is such a beautiful tree and you can use it in so many types of cards. Images are from Stampin Up.
When looking for my purpose in life and needing direction, I chose to ask God. His response was: "You will find what you need if you look among the stars and within yourself." For He is there & everywhere. ...AW...

Awakening...Through Art Journaling...
This is how this particular art journal page started. I used Tim Holtz Distress ink on the edges, used other ink in the center of the page and used the COPIC airbrush system to create a scalloped masked area on the sides of the page.
This is a great way to experiment with your art process and with supplies. There is no right or wrong way to do this. You can learn a lot about yourself; your likes and dislikes and you can clear your mind of all the clutter!!

Completion of this page felt really good and I used TONS of supplies like: ink, stamps, Graphic 45 paper, old paint pens and stuff like that. What ever was close at hand, I used it somewhere on this page. I found there were supplies that I really liked using and others that I would probably use on some other type of artwork.
You can put what ever your thoughts are at the moment down on the paper and create around that central idea or just ramble on and on.
I really enjoy it and I will probably share more Art Journal pages in the future. Maybe it will spark your creativity!!??
Thanks for checking in.

Halloween Cards Using Masking and Other Techniques...
Well I knew I wanted to use these images, but I wasn't sure just how to make it all come together. I must have experimented with this for at least two WHOLE days before it finally hit me!
This yellow post it covers the moon area so I could spray the rest of the background with a blue color.
I stamped the images on white cardstock with black ink and versamark and used clear embossing powder. I let it cool down, then I colored the image with COPIC markers. After that was dry I colored over each colored area with a versamark pen and used embossing powder again. I did this so when I sprayed the background, the background color would not stick to my already colored goblins.
Each colored area had to be masked to protect it anyway, just in case there was a little bit of embossing powder missing.
This "cat in the moon" has a circle mask cut out around it so I could add the gold glow to the moon area.

This is how the final card turned out. The cat is sitting in the glow of the moon with a nice blue background. The punched out bat is flying around and the cute bird with a pumpkin basket is sitting in the tree created by the Cricut Expression. The tree and the punched fence were also colored using the airbrush system.

Fall Card Swap
I hope this shows up on-line as well as it looks in person. This turned out to be a very pretty card. It was stamped with versamark and dusted with gold embossing powder. Then it was colored with COPIC markers and outlined in black. I used black ink and gold ink to add lines around the vanilla mat. The butterfly was something I found to add to the front. I think it turned out pretty good.
Happy fall to you all!

Coffee or Tea Card Swap
This first card is the one I sent for the swap. It's a larger format than A2 and has a lot more "bling" on it. I didn't have a coffee or tea stamp, so I had to go on the search really quick for something that would work. This set has about 10 stamps to it. It's very cute! I used a couple of "Nesties" to cut out the top stamped piece and the mat behind. Also used a Spellbinders die for the sentiment tag.

Two New Things...A Tag and a Compressor!!??...
This birthday tag is cute! I ran the tag through a cuttlebug embossing folder with the Big Shot and then added paper and embellies to the top! I used the Justrite stamper for the sentiment. The recipient usually responds with "Oh, I can use this as a bookmark too"!! Hey that's great if it's dual purpose!
Yep this THE Copic compressor!! I've got it to use with all my fancy COPIC markers! I am so excited! No more air cans that get cold and then you have to warm them up before you can use them again...Nope! This baby is there for me and ready to go when I am ready for some artistic endeavor! It's very quiet, unlike my hubby's compressor that is a monster and shakes the house when it is on! And you gotta love the color...Blue...it's my favorite! (smile) This is definitely worth every penny...I'll always have air! Now I need to do A LOT of practicing. It feels "smoother" than the air cans, so you know what I'll be doing this weekend. Practice makes perfect!
