Doodles From A Wandering Mind...

These pages took a lot of time and by that I mean I just watched TV and put a little bit of this on the page and then put a little bit of that on the page. I was in no "hurry" to finish a page in my book. I usually have at least two pages going, (sometimes more!) so if I'm not feeling it on one, I'll go to the other one.
This is a really good way to take the stress off of your mind. You start to focus more on what to do next on the page and less on what is heavy on your mind.
I usually use different sizes of pens when drawing and I use the set of Micron pigment pens that come in a pack of 6.
Get out your journals and start letting your mind wander aimlessly!! Send me a link to your blog to show me what you've created! Thanks for checking in.

Happy **Heart** Day

This year while making these cards, my mind went WAY, WAY back to 7th grade when we would have a Valentine's Day Lunch Box Social. The girls would make a yummy lunch, put the lunch into an oversized shoe box and then decorate the box. The boys would bring a couple of dollars, mostly in coins, and they would bid on the boxes. Now, the boys were not supposed to know which girl decorated which box, but you know how that usually works! **wink** Then they would enjoy the lunch together. And somehow the boy always knew what kind of lunch he was getting....hmmm...wonder how he knew that too??!! Anway it was a lot of fun during lunch hour.

These cards were a lot of fun and all the center hearts are watercolor paper cut with Nesties, watercolored, then doodled and embellished.
Of course, the cute owl was for my friend Joy since she loves to use them in her artwork!

I hope your V-owl-entine's Day is special.

Doodles...Black Ink on White Paper

Want to quiet your mind and be in another world? Doodling like this has been a part of my life for about a year now. I can sit down for hours with the TV on my hubby's favorite programs and just create. I try to find new textures to put onto paper. Sometimes you can get inspiration from your clothing, a magazine picture, nature or what ever! Just look at things a little differently and you can copy a pattern. Pretty soon you'll just place the lines and dots and squiggles without thinking about it.

This is a really great way to keep a journal of your thoughts too. I don't really like writing long excerpts of my day in a journal, but I can create something beautiful and put words down on to the page of what I am thinking and feeling.

Try it! You might like it! Enjoy!

Am I hoping for Spring??...Yep, I need some green plants in my life!

The Cricut machine is a wonderful machine. I just wish I had more time to play and create with it!
I inked some edges and made some doodles here and there. Don't you just love the complimentary envelope with the liner??!!

See you soon!
