Baby Shower Guest Book

This fall, specifically, November and December we are going to welcome our first grand-children into our family. Both of our daughters are pregnant and due about 6 to 7 weeks apart from each other. Our eldest daughter is expecting a daughter of her own! And our youngest daughter is expecting a son!

We are having a baby shower this weekend and this is the guest book that I've created for our new "little princess". The dresses are for the guests to write well wishes, bible verses or what ever they would like. Then we will mount the dresses in the book along with pictures of the shower. All the other embellishments will go on the pages in the book after the dresses have been put in place. I've used my bind it all to make this book. It was a lot of fun and not too time consuming. I think it took me two full days to really complete the whole thing.
I can't wait to give it to my daughter. I know she will love it!

Thank you for checking in on my creative progress. Have a great week!

Bind It All 6 x 6 Book

First of all, please look past the fact that this book is no where near being done! There are a lot of chipboard cut outs and many other things that need to be added to make this book special. I think the embellishing part will have to come after Christmas this year. Maybe even into 2010!! This 6x6 book cover is Bind It All's canvas artboard. I used a Glimmer Mist stencil and sprayed the whole thing with purple, pink and gold Glimmer Mist sprays. Of course, you have to let it dry in between coats, but the wait is worth it!

As you can see, some of these 6x6 pages have been cut in half to give more places to put pictures or journaling or what ever your heart desires. Please note the picture of the gatefold pages at the end.

Today is my gift wrapping day...yes all day! I think it would have been easier if I wrapped as I bought!! Wish me luck, so I don't run out of tape!
Have a great day!

Bind It All 4x4 Book

This book was created from taking a Bind It All course. This basic book class is to help understand the basics of using this particular binder. I have used a GBC binding machine before that utilized plastic binding rather than metal binding.

This class was a lot of fun and I recommend it to anyone who has the older or newer Bind It All. It definitely opens up your mind to the creative possibilities with this machine.

The front cover is the acrylic cover so you can see through it. The back cover is their clipboard wood and has dp on both sides.

As you can see I haven't put the ribbon on all of the tags yet, but you definitely get the idea. Each page has also been edged with distress ink by Tim Holtz.

My next project is a 6x6 book. Hopefully I'll be able to get to that today!

Thanks for checking in!
