May Sketch Card with Copic Markers

Don't you just love this bird!!?? On the stamp, he has a heart around him, but for this card I wanted to cut the heart off. The scalloped circle is from my Nestabilities collection and I used the Y000 Pale Lemon in my airbrush system to color the background. Ms. Bird is cut out and also colored with copic markers. I used a lot of left over scraps to put this together and I hope my swap partner likes it! The sentiment is from Stampin Up.

Father's Day Card

The stamp set I used for this card is from Artistic Outpost that I purchased at Croppinsville. It has 8 stamps in the set and I used only three. The truck with the quote "Country Roads Take Me Home" is one stamp, the trees in the background is another one and the grassy area in the foreground is made from the wheat stamp in the set. I stamped the card with Close to Cocoa from Stampin Up and mounted that panel on to Bashful Blue cardstock from SU also. The letters that spell out "DAD" were cut on the cricut, using the "Makin' the Grade" cartridge with Night of Navy cardstock, also from SU. The ribbon is by Ribbon FX and there are three dew drops in the right hand corner.

I used Brushed Corduroy and Weathered Wood Distress ink pads to edge the panel and the card. I also used the SU marker in Night of Navy to make dashes around the card.

Desktop Organization

My desktop has so many glass jars that hold things like pencils, cutting instruments, pens, scissors, sanding files, etc. I have 3 glass jars and one cardboard box to hold all of that stuff! I decided to buy this wooden desktop organizer from Hobby Lobby with a spinner style lazy-susan on the bottom to get my desktop a little more organized. It was really inexpensive and it was on sale for 50% off! That's a bargain!

I painted it with Galleria Titanium White Acrylic paint and then cut up some Melissa Frances cardstock to decoupage over the top of the paint after it was dry. For the glue I used Liquitex Matte Medium. I made sure I did a couple of coats over the top of the paper to protect it too. I know that it's going to get A LOT of use. Oh! I also put cardstock in the bottom to protect it from the ink from the pens...that's probably not necessary, but I started off keeping it looking clean even on the inside!

This is the finished product with a Melissa Frances Vintage Keyhole embellishment glued to each side of the organizer. Now I have WAY more space on my desk! It's a good feeling to be organized!
Hope you are having a great week!

Love Anniversary Booklet

This "Love" booklet has an acetate type of cover and came with a bunch of pages and this first picture shows what it looked like before putting anything behind it.

I made this for my hubby and am sharing just a bit of it. Okay, I don't want to bore you with all the details of ....llllooooovvveeee.... Anyway, you'll get the basic idea. (Smile)

This picture of us on the jet ski is placed right under this front cover. And the next pages are part of the inside.

This is the front cover with the photo behind it.

The cover has an elastic band that goes from the front to the back to hold it all together. It turned out to be rather "plump" when all the embellishments and notes were done.

Together Forever Card

You can see that I really tried to use quite a few Nestabilities on this card. I used the Large Labels, Classic scalloped circles, Classic inverted scalloped circles and Labels 2. I also used one of the new EK Success border punches.
The designer paper is by creative imaginations. One side is the mat background and the other side is the mat on top of the purple large label .
I used Distress Inks: milled lavender, tea dye, and old paper. "Together Forever" is stamped with Adirondak Eggplant pigment ink. The pearls are Crystal Stickers by Mark Richards. The light cardstock is Very Vanilla by Stampin Up.

Hope you like it!
