Birthday Card Colored with Copic Markers

This Paula Best stamp has lots of detail. I stamped it with Brilliance Rocket Red Gold ink on SU whisper white cs and heat set it. I used LOTS of different colors of COPIC markers. I stamped two of these at once so I colored them together. It took 2 hours just to color both images completely! The teal color paper is SU designer paper with a pink mat and a black mat. I wanted to highlight the person's birthday by utilizing a pink mat and a black mat to make it stand out.

After all the coloring was dried, I used Crystal Effects to highlight some of the areas on the image. I also used Spica glitter pens for a little bit of a glitter effect. I don't think you can see the glitter, but I think you can see the crystal effects on the close up picture.

I am hoping the person I am sending this to will not be visiting my blog any time before her birthday! If so, well I guess it just won't be a surprise!

Hope you all liked it!

Eight Week Card Swap: Week 8

This is the last week of the card swap and this week we are supposed to create a card with a circle on it somewhere. I decided to use Stampin Up's scalloped card as the base. Then I used elegant eggplant cs folded and ran it thru my Wizard machine with part of the fold on the other side of the cutting edge to create a "flip up" card. That was mounted on the green cs and smaller scalloped circles mounted on the inside. The stamp is from SU: The World Over.
I utilized Spica glitter pens to add some sparkle and shine to the card. Unfortunately, you really can't see the glitter on the flowers and stems!
All flowers were colored with Copic markers. This card was alot of fun to create!
I'll be on vacation so I won't be posting for awhile. Happy Summer everyone!

Anniversary Cards

This is a set of anniversary cards I created on 5x7 cardstock. You start off with a 10 x 7 piece and fold it in half to get the 5x7 size. I used my nestabilities to create the diamonds. I also borrowed a poem online from http://www.poemsource.com/ for the interior sentiment. The cardstock is Stampin Up: very vanilla, not quite navy and designer paper. The ribbon is Offray. I used a cuddlebug folder for the embossed mat and printed the sentiment on to vellum. Hope you like this example! Thank you for stopping by!

Fishing Birthday Cards

These cards (11 of them) were made by using one sheet of Royal Langnickle-Create a Collage-Fishing Collage-Rub-ons. I wanted to see just how many cards I could get out of just one sheet and had pretty good luck at it! There is one card with a sailboat that I added because I cut enough cardstock for 12 cards.
These went pretty quickly when you've got all the cards cut and since all the sentiments are exactly the same size. It really helps to use the stamp-a-ma-jig to place the stamped image in the correct spot.

Eight Week Card Swap: Week 7

This week we were to make a card with some sparkle. I have to admit this is not one of my better cards, but I'll try to figure out how to add some sparkle to my last swap card.
I want to utilize this basic idea to create some anniversary cards. Any suggestions??!!
I haven't had much creativity flowing these past two weeks. Hopefully it will start again soon! Thanks for looking and for any suggestions you may have.
